Pastor Ken Brown

I am Reverend Ken Brown, pastor of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church. I have been appointed by Bishop Hassinger here at Maple Grove for the last 6 wonderful years. I have been a pastor for the last 8 years in the United Methodist Church and 3 years before that as a lay pastor for the Nuangola Union Chapel at Lake Nuangola, Pennsylvania. I have three children: Patrick, Rebecca, and Jessica, a daughter-in-law Tracy, and 2 grandchildren, Mary and Morgan. I live in Hunlock Creek in the parsonage next to the church. I am blessed to be the pastor of Maple Grove, because of the Christian fellowship and the many ministries which have grown in the last 6 years, which includes the exciting ministry that the youth of the church have undertaken. I am a graduate of King's College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Theology, and a graduate of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, with a Master's degree in Divinity.

I am a motorcyclist and a member of the Christian Motorcyclist's Association.

I encourage you to look further into our new website and see how Maple Grove UMC can offer you a fresh perspective on Jesus Christ and see how we stay devoted to the ministries that he has called us to. We offer a traditional United Methodist worship style Sundays at 11:00 AM and Sunday School at 9:45. We are "fishers of people" and we serve the neighborhood through our programs and support. We encourage you to join us in our youth programs, Sunday School, bible study and worship. Come and see!
